Last Thursday, my team and I spent the day at Clay’s Sculpt conference digging into GTM engineering. Everyone’s talking about it, but very few teams do it well. My biggest takeaway: most of the GTM playbooks proven over the past few decades don’t work as intended in the age of AI. The real edge now, the “GTM Alpha,” is how fast your organization can learn and optimize. What we are excited about: 🔀 Workflows. As a recent adopter, we started using Workflows to route inbound leads for our consumer business. If you’re B2B-only, routing might not sound exciting. But we run 4 separate Salesforce instances, and buying LeanData for each one wasn’t realistic. Clay’s flexible integrations made it work. 🤖 Inbound SDR Agent. We’ve evaluated 11x, 1mind, Outcraft, and other AI SDR tools. Clay already has proof points in enrichment, routing, and research, so adding an autonomous agent to orchestrate all of it makes a lot of sense. 🧠 Learning together. I’m a big believer in organized learning, where a team learns and debates ideas side by side. Our brains made more new connections this past week than in the last couple of months. More use cases coming soon. Onward! 🚀 Lastly, I got to catch up with a lot of friends in this space.
